On New Years Day we decided to take an adventure up Big Cottonwood Canyon. We had no real destination, we blared the ’90s music and just drove. It was so beautiful (and cold, but mostly beautiful).
We stopped at Brighton Ski Resort and took a few pictures. Then kept going.
We drove up the road a little bit and parked.
There was so much snow, probably about 3 feet. Seriously. Cailin is standing on the top of a road gate (Starbucks in hand of course).
We just pulled off the road anytime something looked cool and spent the day walking until we got cold.
Or in my case sinking. The snow was so deep.
We saw that people were sledding on the side of the road so of course we had to pull off. We didn’t even think to bring sleds with us so we just slid down with out them. People were laughing at us but we were laughing at us too. It was fun until we realized how wet and cold we were.
We stopped at Publik Kitchen in Salt Lake City for lunch. The food was delicious. And look how pretty the coffee is! Next time you’re in town I would definitely recommend this place.
Pictures by: mostly Cailin, but some from me.
